The Elizabeth Castle is a historic monument of great value as it has withheld many attacks and was witness to many changes in the political scene. It was the witness to the English Civil War, French Invasion when it was used as a jail where French prisoners were kept during that battle. It was under the rule of Germans at the time of World War II. You can reach Elisabeth Castle by ferry or at the time of low tide, you can reach by acauseway.

This is another site which is of great importance and you must visit it when you are in Jersey. This is a burial site with graves of at least eight people. This burial site is in a chamber which is underneath a small mound and there are two chapels on that mound which are said to be from the medieval period. This burial site can be dated back to 2500 BC.
